"When somebody works with hardship in an openhearted and humorous way...when somebody
cultivates his or her bravery, everyone responds, because we know we can do that too."
-Pema Chodron
The Alliance Community Psychotherapy Clinic was founded in 1995 and began serving patients in 1996. We created "a clinic without walls" to serve some of those people in our community who have no where else to turn to find skilled intervention and care for their mental health needs.
Our goal is a simple one: provide therapists with the opportunity for professional and personal growth through community service and informal mentoring to deepen their clinical skills while serving a neglected group of people.
Eligibility for service through ACPC is determined by financial need and by the availability of appropriate clinical services at the time of application. The number of people who can be served is limited by the number of therapists participating in the program. People interested in services can call (425) 656-9627 and leave a message requesting a Patient Information Form be sent to them. Or go to the website: www.alliancecommunityclinic.org, and download the Patient Information Form.
Participating clinicians have opportunities for individual and group consultation. Clinicians interested in information about providing therapy or consultation should contact Jeffrey L. Eaton, FIPA, Chair, Steering Committee, at (206) 548-9293.
Questions regarding making gifts, including donations of stock, to support the work of ACPC should be addressed to Jeffrey Eaton. The Northwest Alliance is a 501C3 and most gifts are eligible for tax deductible status.
