I work collaboratively to define the problem, to identify feelings and their sources, and then to uncover new possibilities.
My training is in psychodynamic psychotherapy and in family therapy. I am a graduate of the Smith College School for Social Work with a license to practice independently (LICSW) and a Diplomate status with the National Association of Social Workers (DCSW.) I consider myself very fortunate to have found a vocation that is both challenging and very rewarding.
Spirituality and Special Requests:
I believe that a person’s spiritual convictions are important for a therapist to understand, since they often have a profound effect on how a person determines to live. I am committed to maintain the highest professional standards of practice, not to impose my personal views, and to respect each client's preferences.
At the client's request, we can explore spiritual development, personal images of God, and involvement, if any, in a faith community or spiritual tradition.
