About

My therapeutic approach is informed by relational, psychodynamic, and feminist therapies as well as EMDR, ACT, and mindfulness techniques.  What that means is that I believe that relationships shape us, for both better and worse, and the relationship we'll create together in therapy is a crucial element of change.  I believe that our pasts are important, because they are often (consciously or unconsciously) calling the shots in our presents.  I believe in grey-- that our minds like to work in black and white, especially when stressed, but that the good and meaningful stuff in life hangs out in the grey parts.  So along those lines, I hold together both the mourning of the damage that trauma does as well as the belief in resilience and the strength of scars.

I am out-of-network for all other insurances.  What that means is that usually they will cover a different amount and you may have a separate deductible.  You are responsible for what your insurance will not cover.  For example, if they cover 80%, that means you would pay $27 a session. You can call your insurance and find out what they will cover for an out-of-network psychologist, or I can do that for you.

Rate: $135 for a 45-minute therapy appointment, $175 for an intake appointment.

Cancellation Policy: If you do not make it to your scheduled appointment, and you have not given me at least 24 hours notice, you will be required to pay a $75 missed session fee.
