Special Initiatives Grant (SIG)

The Special Initiatives Grant (SIG) makes available awards from the Alliance’s Discretionary Fund to individual(s) or group(s) in the Alliance community for projects and programs, non-profit in nature, that benefit the Alliance membership and community.

The initial SIG award was made in 2013 and provided a funding award for programs that included Psychoanalytic Perspectives: Roots & Branches Foundational Courses (a two-year education seminar series), and the Alliance Ambassador Program (an outreach program to provide information about psychoanalytic psychotherapy to community organizations).

The availability of funding and invitation to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) is announced by the SIG Committee and Alliance Board via email broadcast to the Alliance membership. Successful recipients of the SIG award are selected by the Alliance Board. Contact president@nwaps.org if you are interested in applying for a SIG grant.
