Treating the Child Buried Within the Adult: Using Child Psychoanalysis to Inform Adult Treatment with Rebecca Schwartz, Ph.D.
Dr. Rebecca Schwartz is a child and adult psychoanalyst with over 20 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and families. She integrates developmental and psychoanalytic approaches, with expertise in autism spectrum treatment (DIR/Floor Time), attachment, and parent-child relationships. A former fellow at the Yale Psychiatric Institute, she trained with infant researcher Dr. Beatrice Beebe and presents internationally on child mental health. Dr. Schwartz is on the faculty of the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, the William Alanson White Institute, and the Psychoanalytic Association of New York.

Martin Bullard, LICSW is a child & adolescent psychoanalyst & Faculty Chair at the Seattle Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. He has extensive clinical experience in residential and therapeutic settings and helps train future psychoanalysts. He combines psychoanalytic theory with practical treatment for youth and families. He also has a private practice in Seattle, providing therapy and supervision.

Tina Marie Dale is an adult and child psychoanalyst in St. Louis, specializing in neuropsychoanalytic and relational approaches. She chairs the Child and Adolescent Committee at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute and leads advanced training in psychotherapy with youth. Tina also provides international consultation and is dedicated to integrating neuroscience into psychoanalytic practice.

Dr. Alexandra Harrison is a child and adult psychoanalyst and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She is core faculty at UMass Boston’s Infant-Parent Mental Health Program and co-founder of Supporting Child Caregivers, a global nonprofit. Her work centers on development, attachment, and trauma across the lifespan, with a focus on children and families.
