COR Movie Night: The Squid and the Whale (2005)

  • to

Center for Object Relations
2800 First Ave
Suite 117
Seattle, WA 98121
United States

Sponsored by: COR

Who loves analytic discussion of movies? Then come gather with the COR community to watch and ponder this painfully hilarious film!

The teenaged Walt and his younger brother Frank must navigate the divorce of their narcissistic parents. Is this a classic Oedipal complex? Who are the good and bad objects? Alex Gomez, Psy.D. will facilitate a discussion following the film where we can explore these and other questions, apply theory, or perhaps just enter a free flowing dialogue. Overall, let’s enjoy each others’ company, relax to a film and libations, and wonder aloud together at the hilarious mess that is the Squid and the Whale!

Social hour: 6:30-7:00 pm

Movie and Discussion:  7:00-9:15 pm
