The growing visibility of racial minority immigrants in the United States has triggered a sense of collective anxiety, where dissociative defenses maintain emotional distance and identification with groups perceived to be threatening. Recent policies in the U.S., such as those resulting in heightened policing of Black and Brown people and deportation of undocumented immigrants and separation of children from parents have made explicit the connection between racism and xenophobia.

(We regret to inform everyone that Dr. Annie Rogers has unfortunately fallen ill and cannot travel to Seattle September 14 for our time together. We are of course disappointed but praying for her quick recovery. 

Dr. Rogers has rescheduled her presence at our Relational Perspectives Series for Friday, November 9, 2018. We are hopeful that many of you will be able to join us on this new date to learn from Dr. Rogers.
