Sponsored by: COR and TSS

Dr. Panajian will discuss the most crucial areas that are required for healing to become possible in analytic therapy. The significance of consciousness, attention, and intuiting psychic reality will be discussed. The ability to let go of oneself, the danger of trusting one's perception, the capacity to keep being surprised, and the relationship of the negative and passionate connections between patient and therapist will be explored.

The role of staying in ambiguity and in paradoxes will be illustrated through clinical examples. Dr.Panajian will discuss how the therapist stays in living analysis with the patient without understanding the nature of the patient's trauma. The passionate analyst stays with two psyches meeting instead of knowing the wounds. Passionate analytic therapy allows the process of going on being without interrupting by trying to make sense and see things.

Clinical examples will be given to illustrate the destructive aspects of analytic conceptualizations during the session.
