I’m Dr. Alesya Radosteva, and I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field. I’ve been honored to provide psychological care here in the Seattle area. This community holds a special place in my heart, and I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by the people who call this area home.
I work with adult individuals and couples. I specialize in treating various mental health concerns, including mood disorders, personality disorders, and relational issues. My approach combines evidence-based treatment methods with a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective. I’m particularly passionate about helping individuals grappling with addiction, problematic behaviors, sexual identity, and everyday functioning in both personal and professional spheres. I also have a passion for providing psychological treatment to couples. I believe that nurturing communication and fostering intimacy are essential components of a healthy relationship. Couples often face various challenges that can strain their connection, and my goal is to help partners navigate these hurdles together.
I work with couples to enhance their communication skills, ensuring they feel heard and understood by one another. By creating a safe space for dialogue, we can explore deeper levels of intimacy and emotional connection. This process not only strengthens the bond between partners but also improves their ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts together.
I welcome couples who are navigating the complexities of immigration and acculturation, as the stresses of adapting to a new culture or other major transitions can create unique challenges in relationships. Moreover, I have a keen understanding of the dynamics related to neurodiversity and high emotional sensitivity. Together, we can explore how these aspects affect communication and intimacy within your partnership. Additionally, I’m equipped to support couples facing medical challenges that may impact their relationship. By addressing these issues, we work together to develop effective strategies for problem-solving and conflict resolution, helping partners to grow closer and more resilient in the face of adversity. In our sessions, you’ll find a compassionate ally dedicated to helping you cultivate a more fulfilling and harmonious partnership where each person feels valued and empowered.
As a bilingual psychologist fluent in Russian and English, I’ve had the privilege of providing psychological services to immigrants and refugees with poor English proficiency. I understand the complexities of acculturation and the adjustments that come with starting anew in a different country.
My approach in therapy is collaborative and client-centered. I truly believe in the power of finding tailored solutions to the specific challenges my clients face. I take the time to ensure my clients grasp what they’re working on, because I know that more therapy doesn't always mean better outcomes. Instead, I emphasize the importance of accurately identifying the core issues and crafting an individualized treatment plan that leads to successful outcomes more swiftly.
Together, we can embark on a journey toward healing and growth.
