About

I provide an open, relational, psychoanalytical, and playful presence. My counseling style is warm, interactive, compassionately direct, holistic, and experientially grounded in what works. Supporting clients to explore who they are, their stories, and what causes pain subsequently reduces their movement to thrive. Trust, safety, and empathy are employed to encourage collaboration. Mutual trust and exploration of what causes us “to get stuck” encourages reciprocal curiosity regarding the motivations underneath certain behaviors and thoughts. My approach invites clients to explore their “pain” and discover how their pain’s intention leads to certain behaviors and patterns that decrease movement toward growth. Growth towards living with less ambiguity and finding increased purpose in one’s life. Growth towards deeper, engaged & reciprocal relationships. Growth towards self-compassion and employing in your life what you value most. My relational approach invites  active and genuine engagement leading to a trusting therapeutic alliance. In my own life, authentic transformation and change have often occurred when authenticity and courage to lean in together come to life.  Isolation is the killer.

I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from a Seattle-based psychoanalytical school named The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology.

To coincide with my private practice, I offer therapeutic services for a community mental health agency working with multicultural adults, adolescents, and families. The work is impactful, humbling, and inspiring, answering a personal desire to help others in significant need but have limited resources for care.
