I came to counseling upon realizing how powerful it is to recognize and honor the difficulties we experience. I believe that talking about the areas that trouble you bring you not only to resolution, but also to finding new strengths, vitality, and an increased confidence in yourself and the choices you make. Each person brings a beautiful, unique set of life experiences into the therapy relationship—it is my job to help you make your story come alive.

Whether its anxiety, depression, trauma, feeling powerless, or something else, giving these parts of you a time and place to be talked about can help to rejuvenate an aspect of your life that is stressed, dulled, or painful. I help you work with the circumstances of your life now and how they connect with what’s come before, in order to help you create real, lasting change.

Couples Therapy

Using various tools, I’ll use what I learn about your personal histories, along with how I see you interact in our session, to discover the root of why you are having conflict. We’ll slow down your automatic reactions to each other, leaving room for change in your relationship. Through this process, you get to find out how to honor each others needs without feeling that you are making a personal sacrifice.

I have dedicated myself to ongoing, advanced training in couples therapy, primarily through the PACT Institute. PACT stands for the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. This approach helps partners learn to care for one another in a way that results in a mutual sense of security—an essential ingredient to help you, as a couple, live and grow in ways that would otherwise not be possible.

Sessions with me may be reimbursable by your insurance company—I am considered an out-of-network provider. I am happy to provide you with a receipt so you can seek reimbursement as I do not bill insurance companies directly. My National Provider Identifier (NPI) number is: 1770837627. Please call your insurance company with my NPI number to see if you have out-of-network benefits and if your benefits will cover working with me. You can ask your insurance company what your coverage for an out-of-network provider is, if there is a limitation on sessions per year, and what percentage of my fee is covered.

Payment is typically collected at the beginning of each session and can be paid in cash, check, credit/debit cards, or via PayPal.
