Ethics Seminar - Harold Searles and an Ethics of Mutualit with Collin McFadden & Terry Hanson

This seminar will focus on issues in clinical values rather than legal questions. We will look primarily at how we as therapists balance our own needs with the needs of our patients, both in terms of concrete issues of time and money and around questions of emotional and interpersonal needs. We will draw from the work of Harold Searles, who especially elaborated the deeply interpersonal nature of the psychoanalytic process. As part of the seminar each instructor will present a psychotherapy experience in which these questions were particularly prominent.

In-Person on Saturday, November 1 at 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (Pacific/Seattle)
