The Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Society welcomes you back into our yearly event!
This year we are holding the Potential Space at the Good Shepherd Center in their famed Chapel Performing Arts and Gallery venue featuring beautiful lighting, wood floors, arched ceilings, and original stained-glass windows. Please come and join us! There will be plenty of room to move about, linger with the art, socialize, and enjoy the performances. Lite dessert and beverages will be served. Family and friends are welcome!

History:
The Potential Space is a beloved art event within the NWAPS community, welcoming visual and performance art to be shared in a setting that celebrates creativity and connection. Drawing on Winnicott’s idea of potential space, the event offers a living bridge between the internal and external experience, where what is private and imagined can take form and enter a shared world. We see this event as a place where art is not only witnessed but deeply encountered. The audience is an essential part of this encounter. The presence of ‘other’ creates a living community in which the artwork can be brought fully to life for all.
After running annually for 14 years, the Potential Space was paused for several years and is now returning by popular demand, a testament to the lasting affection and importance this event holds in our community. Below are a few of the examples of the different art-forms our members have shared with us in the past:

All Alliance members are welcome to exhibit, read, or perform their art. To submit your piece for the event, please complete this submission form.
