The Alliance Education Committee nurtures meaningful professional development opportunities for clinicians in the Pacific Northwest who value psychoanalytic theory, knowledge, and application.
Courses run in fall, winter, and spring each year, offered by psychoanalytic educators in the Pacific Northwest to anyone interested in psychoanalytic theory and practice. Continuing education units are available in most cases.
We believe a need exists for credible psychoanalytic education external to longterm programs in universities and institutes. To satisfy this need our aim is three-fold:
- Empower psychoanalytic educators in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia to reach clinical and nonclinical audiences with educational opportunities in-person and online;
- Enable anyone in clinical and allied fields to study psychoanalytic theory and application;
- Provide a robust platform for delivery of psychoanalytic educational opportunities to the Pacific Northwest and worldwide.
To accomplish these aims we:
- Recruit qualified instructors;
- Collaborate on honing educational offerings;
- Promote educational opportunities across multiple relevant groups;
- Enroll students to educational offerings;
- Assure quality of education.
