On February 5 and 6, 2016 the Alliance and the Northwestern Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (NPSI) will be co-sponsoring a workshop featuring training and supervising analyst Dr. Joseph Aguayo, PhD, FIPA (Psychoanalytic Center of California). On Friday evening he will be speaking on "Winnicott and Bion: Irreconcilable Differences?". On Saturday he will chair a panel presentation on "Bion's Italian Seminars: Facilitating and Learning from the Group Experience". In preparation for this event NPSI is offering four pre-event classes featuring three seminal papers by D. W. Winnicott and one of Bion's Italian Seminars (1977). These classes intended to prepare participants for Dr. Aguayo's presentations will be held at NPSI on Wednesday evenings.
The October class will be discussing "Transitional Objects and Transitional Phenomena" (1953) and will be facilitated by Morry Tolmach, MSW.
The cost for the seminar is $12 for NPSI and Alliance members and $15 for non-members. To register for this class, contact NPSI at the contact information listed below.
